Description & Instructions
Description: The CSPA Early Career Professional Award is presented on an annual basis to a CSPA professional member in acknowledgement of their exceptional professional practice in the area of mental performance consulting in Canada.
Award Criteria
The award recipient must:
Be a current CSPA professional member. (as of 2025, the applicant must be a CMPC)
Have applied for the award within three years of having obtained their highest degree (Master’s or PhD).
Applicant will be assessed through the demonstration of the following:
Exceptional professional practice in the area of mental performance consulting with athletes and/or coaches in Canada at any level
Contributions to Mental Performance Consulting in Canada
Academic publications
Non academic publications
Other contributions
Reference letters
Nature of Award
The award recipient will receive:

Procedures
Applicants must complete the “Call for Nomination” Form for the CSPA Early Career Professional Award and submit it electronically by April 7, 2024 to Ashley Duguay at to info@teamfirstconsulting.com
Applicants must ask 3 referees to electronically submit by the due date above, a letter of recommendation by April 7, 2024 to Ashley Duguay at info@teamfirstconsulting.com. Letters of recommendation should be provided by a client, a coach, and a CSPA Professional Member. Referees must justify in less than 750 words why they feel the applicant should receive the award by describing and giving examples of exceptional practice in the field, service to the sport community, and/or professional involvement.
Nominations are evaluated by the CSPA Review Committee, who will then make a recommendation to the Managing Council for final approval.
The award recipient will be notified by email by the end of April 2024.
In order to receive the award, the recipient must submit a 1-to-2-page submission or article to the CSPA Managing Council on the topic of mental performance consulting. This article will be included in a future CSPA nationally-circulated newsletter!

Description du prix
Description : Le Prix de l'ACPS pour les professionnel(le)s en début de carrière est présenté annuellement à un membre professionnel de l’ACPS en reconnaissance de sa pratique professionnelle exemplaire dans le domaine de la consultation en performance mentale au Canada.
Critères du prix
Le lauréat du prix doit :
Être un membre professionnel en règle de l’ACPS (à partir de 2025, le candidat doit détenir le titre de CMPC).
Avoir posé sa candidature pour le prix dans les trois années après avoir obtenu son diplôme sortant (maîtrise ou doctorat)
Le candidat sera évalué sur la démonstration des éléments suivants :
Pratique professionnelle exemplaire dans le domaine de la performance mentale.
Consultation auprès d'athlètes et/ou d'entraîneurs au Canada, à tous les niveaux.
Contributions au domaine de la performance mentale au Canada.
Publications académiques.
Publications non académiques.
Autres contributions.
Lettres de référence.
Nature du prix
Le lauréat du prix recevra :
Certificat de reconnaissance
Un montant de cinq cents dollars (500 $)
Procédure
Les candidats doivent remplir le formulaire de mise en candidature et le soumettre électroniquement d’ici le 7 avril 2024 à Ashley Duguay à info@teamfirstconsulting.com
Les candidats doivent demander à trois références de soumettre électroniquement une lettre de recommandation d’ici le 7 avril, 2024 à Ashley Duguay à info@teamfirstconsulting.com. Les lettres de recommandation doivent provenir d’un client (18 et plus), d’un entraîneur et d’un membre professionnel de l’ACPS. Les références doivent justifier en moins de 750 mots pourquoi le candidat devrait recevoir le prix en décrivant et en fournissant des exemples de sa pratique exemplaire dans le domaine, de ses contributions à la communauté sportive et/ou de son implication professionnelle.
Les nominations seront évaluées par le comité d’évaluation de l’ACPS qui déposera ensuite une recommandation au conseil de gestion pour son approbation finale.
Le lauréat du prix sera contacté par courriel en avril 2024.
Afin de recevoir le prix, le lauréat devra soumettre un article de 1 à 2 pages au conseil de gestion de l’ACPS sur un sujet de son choix propre à la consultation en performance mentale. Cet article sera publié dans une future infolettre de l’ACPS.
