Ryan Hamilton, PhD, is an Associate Professor at UNB and Mental Performance Consultant. From July to October, he spent more than nine weeks in the NHL bubbles in Toronto and Edmonton with the Tampa Bay Lightning, a 65-day stay that culminated in a Stanley Cup championship for the Lightning. More recently, from December to January, he spent another five weeks in the World Junior Hockey Championship bubble in Edmonton with Hockey Canada that resulted in a silver result. Dr. Hamilton will discuss what life was like in the bubbles, the role of the Mental Performance Consultant while in the two bubbles, and what it's like working in professional sport.

Ryan Hamilton, PhD, est un professeur agrégé à l’Université du Nouveau-Brunswick ainsi qu’un consultant en performance mentale. De juillet à octobre, il a passé plus de 9 semaines dans les bulles de la LNH à Toronto et à Edmonton avec le Lightning de Tampa Bay. Ce séjour de 65 jours s’est conclu avec une Coupe Stanley. Plus récemment, de décembre à janvier, il a passé cinq semaines dans la bulle des championnats du monde de hockey junior à Edmonton avec Hockey Canada. Ce séjour s’est conclu avec une médaille d’argent. Dr. Hamilton discutera de comment était la vie dans les bulles, de son rôle de consultant en performance mentale au sein de ces bulles ainsi que de comment s’est de travailler dans le sport professionnel.
