Professional Affiliations: Owner, Dr. MacAdam & Associates

Biography: When Dr. MacAdam started private practice in 2005 as a chiropractor, she was interested in cognitive behavioural therapy for managing back and neck pain. Her Master Thesis entitled, "Does guided imagery as an adjunct to chiropractic treatment affect pain and disability in physically active adults with chronic low back pain?" concluded that guided imagery may be beneficial as an adjunct to spinal manipulative therapy in the treatment of chronic low back pain. Her first published research was in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics in 2005.

Dr. MacAdam is certified as a Mental Performance Consultant with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association. She received her education and training through attaining a Master's Degree in Science with a focus on guided imagery.
