From Education to Execution:Building a Thriving Career in Mental Performance
The aim of this workshop is to provide attendees with information and tools on how to navigate Early Career Challenges. The three presenters will discuss finding work by exploring niche areas of practice, finding and exploring networks, developing marketing strategies, conducting initial meetings, getting client and/or organizational buy-in, and seeking different forms of mentorship throughout this transition period.
In this workshop, the panelists will share some of their experiences during and since this transitional phase where attendees can learn through a variety of different context examples, discussions, and “choose your own adventure” breakout rooms. Attendees will have access to tools and social learning around topics like marketing and branding, relationships and networking, and working in various contexts within applied sport psychology (e.g., private practice, elite sport, high-readiness military).
